Joey Shaw is taking pictures with the celebrities since he had the first trip to LA in 1994. He met Aaron Spelling on the set of the Beverly Hills 90210 and he just started his career following the stars behind the camera. Meanwhile in Europe where he was born, magazines like Vogue in Italy, Elle in France and many more, they started to publish the images of the editorials produced by the new talent of the fashion industry.
Today the talent has become a living legend of the fashion and celebrities photographic business. After 20 years taking pictures he had images published in more than 250 magazines all over the world.
Joey usually works between Montecarlo and Los Angeles.
Every single celebrity in the world is waiting to be in front of his camera.
Al Pacino, Cameron Diaz, Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton,
Elton John, Sting, Shakira, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Alba, they are not just good friends for Joey, they want him on stage behind the camera.
The first photographic book, "behind the scenes - the true story of a fashion photographer" signed by Joey Shaw, it's out all over the world selling thousands of copies.
The new glamour book, " Shades of Glamour " came out on january the 1st 2009 worldwide.
Joey Shaw is on tv with the Tv Show "Guest Star", a real camera following Joey during his real life on the scenes and behind the scenes.
The TV Show follows the image creator during the castings, the shootings, the flights, the fittings of the dresses, interviews, meetings with celebrities and private life sometimes...last may Joey was caught in Santa Monica on the beach with sunglasses and a baseball hat with Jessica Alba.
Paramount Pictures signed a 5 years contract with Joey Shaw.
He will be the director for 3 movies coming out between 2008 and 2011. A teen age comedy, a comedy and a thriller.
During an interview for a european TV channel Joey said:
I feel lucky. I mean, there are so many great photographers around, I'm just lucky that I met the right people like Gianni Versace in 1992 in Milan and Aaron Spelling in 1994 in LA. Now I feel lucky and proud to have friends like Dolce & Gabbana, Victoria Beckham, Shakira and many more.
Max magazine wrote after an interview:
Joey always talks about destiny. We cannot tell you if it's right or wrong but we can tell you about a story. In 1994 in Los Angeles there was a very young beautiful girl, a blonde totally unknown girl. Her name was Jaime Pressly. The talent manager of Jamie in those years was Mr Paul St.John, the man who became during the last 10 years one of the greatest friends of Joey Shaw.
Jaime is definitely one of the best actressess in the world now and Joey is the new legend of the fashion photography and we can bet on him for the movie directions too.
Joey usually say: "nobody knows how it's possible, but every talent, male or female, kid or teen ager, discovered by Mr Paul St.John has become a star, many times a big star".
You don't have to believe in the destiny to read something special in this story.
Maybe it was just one more lucky side of the story...
